New CV!

So I decided to re-do my non-fashion CV, it was a good exercise for me as I used illustrator and tried to broaden my knowledge of the program! I did most of it myself and some of it with the help of a trusty GD'er!
My new and improved CV...

Summer So Far...

My summer has consisted of a few things so far:
- Watching all world cup games!
- Transforming into a football fan!
- Eating a lot of junk food
- Lounging on sofas all day long
- Watching big brother every night without fail
- Oh and moving into the new house!

My routine has now changed, I have started reading for dissertation and I have around 5 pages of quotes so far and I am only on my first book and I haven't even finished it yet and I have taken up running as a form of exercise (learnt that I am a fast runner!) and doing to occasional sit up (they hurt) I'm looking forward to getting into Manchester Library and getting more books for dissertation, call me a geek but I want a first!

Little Update...

So I got my final grade back and I got 67.58% and I am so happy! I also learnt that my digital photography grade went up to a first so I was even happier! I recieved my dissertation feedback and well I am very freaked out right now because I think I picked a really hard subject! Bugger! I just know I am going to have to research my little heart out to get all my information! My proposal was approved so I was really happy with that! I am going to scan in my feedback and post a photo on here so if I lose it I have another copy! I plan to write about a post about my dissertation in more detail soon...

Getting All The Marks Back...

This week we also got our marks back for Enterprise, PPD and Research Practices...

I got 66% for Enterprise which I was a little shocked as some others from the group got high firsts. I'm not really that bothered by it though because I don't think I'll use enterprise in the future although I did enjoy the project and felt I learned a lot from it and it's a shame my mark didn't reflect that.

I got 67% for PPD. Quite happy with that! I enjoyed the interview aspect and felt I gave good answers!

I got 68% for Research Practices. I don't know how I feel about this. I am really annoyed at the way this project was marked and I don't see how my work can be marked within a matter of minutes. We spend 3 weeks putting our all into the projects for it to be marked in less than 5 minutes. I don't think it's fair that Pathway A had another week for their work to be marked and from what I have heard their feedback sessions were different to ours and instead of us talking through our work, the tutor talked through their work with them. To sum it up I completely agree with Jess Spanswick on this matter.

Working With The Third Years...

So this week we were working with the third years... to be honest I didn't really see the point in the exercise and I am not happy that we had to paint the stands and the third years agree with us. I don't pay £3,000 a year to paint other peoples stands. I spent most of the week walking round aimlessly because my third year didn't have anything for me to do. I can understand why this task was set for us to see what it's going to be like in third year for us but if anything it's crushed my confidence for third year as my third year and two of her friends told me to 'drop out now' what kind of advice is that? Instead of looking forward to third year... I am now the complete opposite.

Critical Studies Mark...

I got my critical studies mark back on Tuesday and I was really pleased! I got 68%!!! I was so happy I thought I'd done a lot worse! Tom said I write really well and that when it comes to dissertation I should get a first which makes me so happy!! I got the second highest mark out of my Crit group. So proud of myself! I need to decide now on a dissertation topic and I know I want to concentrate on the gaze and psychoanalysis but I just need to brainstorm on a few more ideas!!
